A less-crowded week across the sports still brought about some entertaining viewing and opportunities for cashing in. Champions League ‘match day 2′ results delivered despite a lack of super-high profile games and the mid-week action was capped off with the UEFA cup first round ties giving us a feast of goals to match the semi-premier standard of the competition.

In fact, the last week saw a relentless pounding on bookie profits as the betdreamers team managed a superb 88% correct strike rate! Even with a more meagre range of fixtures, we extracted the best value bets, got them right, and are looking at profit margins of around 600% return on investment. Those are pretty good odds! The only result which let us down was the speculative bet on the Rushden and Diamonds V Altrincham tie which was the only choice on a quiet Monday and proved a very difficult game to call. The home team should have taken the win, but all credit to Altrincham for claiming a point and stopping us whitewashing the bookies.

The weekend of football saw a rejuvinated Man United destroy the Blackburn side (albeit with a little help from a certain Serbian elbow to the chops of the Balckburn goalie!). The Premier League served up its usual dramatic action as strugglers Tottenham traipsed even further towards the prospective of a surprise relegation. Arsenal’s kids proved that history can and often does repeat itself by struggling against Sunderland - this after humiliating recent Champions League champs, FC Porto by putting four past them as well as passing them off the park. Liverpool’s run of ‘lacklustre football, good results’ continued while Chelsea also maintained their impressive start to the season.

Fans of Porto or Chelsea would have noted Jose Mourinho’s excellent start to his first season in Serie A - benefiting this weekend from a new look Adriano and the ever-reliable Ibrahimovic to remain rooted to the top spot. Winners and losers defined all week in the sports world. Betdreamers providing the definitive source for profitable bets.

So with the spotlight removed from last week, we look towards the next with a view to raking in even more cash. No European football means we will divert our gaze abroad to capitalise on the local domestic action - stay tuned to see how you can take advantage…The weekend does offer some scintillating sporting spectacles however: World Cup qualifiers return giving the true patriots among us something to sing about in stadiums all over the world. The Formula One season approaches twilight with just three more races to go - this coming weekend we will be treated with Mount Fuji as the backdrop to one of the most exciting tracks, home to one of the longest and fastest straights on the F1 GP circuit. Louis Hamilton set the fastest lap record last season, and with him setting the pace in the drivers championship this season, he’ll be the man to beat.

We also have some interesting Tennis activity to look forward to, and the IAAF World Road Running Championships lands in Rio de Janeiro for what should be an interesting test of endurance for some of the world’s top athletes. Wow! It seems that the betdreamers team will have a tough time choosing the right picks - but this just means we make your life all the more easy when it comes to taking home the cash!

Formula One at its very best - last season’s Japan GP gave us arguably the best final lap battle of recent times. And all for that coveted sixth place!
